Santa Gravity Sprint Review
Forget the sleigh, this time Santa's job is a lot simpler and a lot more nerve-wracking: get from one side of a frozen room to a door without smashing into spikes, crates, or whatever else HTML5 physics decided to throw at him. The gimmick is right there in the name. You're not steering left and right so much as flipping which way is down, and that small twist turns a fairly plain snow-themed platformer into something that keeps your thumb (or mouse finger) genuinely busy. Twelve levels are packed in here, and they escalate at a pace that feels fair rather than punishing, at least for the first several stages.
How To Play
- Tap the screen or click with the mouse to flip gravity and send Santa flying toward the ceiling or back down to the floor.
- Time each flip so he clears spikes, gaps, and any obstacle blocking the path.
- Guide him toward the exit door to close out the level and move on to the next one.
- Work through all 12 stages, each one built with new obstacle placements that mess with your timing.
- Keep it simple: one input does everything, so the challenge lives in your reflexes, not a complicated control scheme.
Score-Boosting Tactics
- Watch Santa's momentum before you flip. He carries speed from the previous surface, and misjudging that carries you straight into a wall.
- Don't panic-tap. A late, deliberate flip usually beats a rushed one, since overcorrecting sends him careening the other direction.
- Study the layout for a second or two before moving if the level allows it. Spotting the spike cluster early saves you three or four retries.
- Treat tight corridors as puzzles, not reaction tests. Some sections want a rhythm of quick double-flips rather than one big jump.
- Replay earlier levels once you've got the flipping feel dialed in. It's oddly satisfying to blaze through a stage that wrecked you the first time.
